Transfer foils - shims

Core shims are useful little helpers when assembling and dismantling locking cylinders. They are pushed between the core and the housing and ensure that pens cannot accidentally slip in somewhere they don't belong. In fact, there are locks that cannot be dismantled without a core shim, and since you can't really tell from the outside, you should always use one if you want to open an unknown lock for the first time.
